Virginia Beach

Spent the day at the beach with my family the other day and I figured I would share some photos with you guys since Im officially the worst blogger ever with my lack of updates. I don't know if I'll ever get back into posting regularly with Facebook being dead I have nowhere to promote it. My camera is also never in my possession as I have become obsessed with snappin'  pics on my iPhone4s for instagram. At this point only time will tell if this blog will stay up or not. I do however appreciate everyone who reads it  and shows interest in me and my life. Anyways it was a nice, day not too hot which is great cause I'm not a fan of the heat and I prefer winter as I've stated numerous times on here. I was so excited to wear one of my favorite swimsuits I got from H&M. Almost all the bathing suits I purchased for this summer are from there and they are not only cute but extremely affordable. Don't think I spent more than $30 on this white one. I don't know if you guys can tell but I've gained at least 5 pounds since March, all the restaurant hopping is catching up to me now that I'm older and growing into what I call my "woman body." I've always preferred a curvy figure and if I wanted to be anything else other then a model I would leave my body the way it is but I know I can't. I have been thin as long as I can recall but my baby pics prove I have chubby tendencies lol so I've definitely started watching what I eat. Haven't made any drastic changes but I opt for a salmon salad over steak and mash as often as possible. I think healthy is the most beautiful size you can be so I'm starting there! Enjoy the pics.  Although you won't see any of me actually getting deep in the water because me and the ocean aren't friends. lol Xx

Did I mention I cut my hair?

Matchbox!

I know it's been a while, more than a while. I am the world's laziest blogger because my lack of posts is not because I didn't have time or anything cool to say it's because I just didn't feel like carrying my big old Nikon around with me, shooting a video, or typing out my inner most thoughts. If procrastination doesn't kill me I know laziness will. Anyways I'll try to start being more consistent with my postings let's say once a week? OK, we have a deal. Now that it's getting a little warmer, don't forget I prefer winter fashion, but now I can go out doors and shoot in front of different backgrounds and scenery. Today's post features a lunch date  with my cousin Raqui at Matchbox in Rockville. This whole lunch thing is becoming sort of a tradition for us. It's just a time for us to catch up, give each other advice, and stuff our faces. lol I really appreciate having such great role models in my life like Raqui that I can come to for anything. I think it's important to have people who are older and wiser who have been through everything you're going through to help you handle the challenges of life. Even though I believe in living your life and making mistakes, I also know that sometimes you can just learn from other peoples' mistakes. My grandmother had like 13 kids so I have plenty of family and we are all pretty close. My older female cousins are my big sisters. And even though I swear they never wanna take me out with them (probably because I'm not old enough, being under 21 sucks) I know I can always count on them. I wanna dedicate this post to my big sisters : Raqui, Manjula, Jojo, Youmaly, and Adama...love you guys <3
*sentimental mushiness ends*
It was a pretty nice day outside so we had a nice long lunch. Raqui had this spicy pizza and I had my typical salmon and mash, it was all very delicious, they have my recommendation. I promise we didn't plan this but somehow we both ended up wearing pretty similar colors.

Me: Dress | J.crew tribal print dress. Accessories | J.crew. Shoes | random from Shoe City.
Raqui: Top | Custom made in Guinea. Jeans | Forever. Shoes | Bakers.

Cotton Candy.

As you all know I am completely obsessed with make-up these days so I've been spending hours watching make-up tutorials and even making some of my own. One thing I have to admit to you guys though is I'm one of those people that gets really into things and I never finish them or achieve the level of expertise that I want before I become obsessed with something else. Like this week it's make-up, next week it's home decor or knitting...you know what I mean? Butttttttt I want to stop doing that, I need to find things that I truly love and am good at and stick to them. I initially started this whole make-up thing because of my pageant events but I realized the make-up I did never looked as good as the ones make-up artists did for me when I was modeling so I started watching YouTube videos and I realized I could be just as good as them with a little practice. So before anyone asks, no, I do not want to be a make-up artist but as a woman I want to look as gorgeous as humanly possible when I go out so learning how to take care of my skin properly and have a nice make-up look is something I consider a life skill. I'm learning all this for personal use and to maybe help my friends do their make-up when we go out. In these past couple of months I've learned so much about skin care, make-up application, what products work and what don't so if you guys have any questions feel free to ask me. And don't forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/fbokoum?feature=mhee

Here is a cotton candy eyes make-up look that I learned from one of my favorite Youtube gurus...LipSh0ck
Enjoy! Xx
