Versace Meets the Magician.

Hello everyone! For the first time in a long time, I put away my knit sweaters and leggings and traded up for something a bit more...risqué. I woke up in the morning feeling energized and ready to go which are usually my best dressed days because then I have the chance to come up with something different to wear as oppose to my everyday running late look. I am habitually late but never late enough to just throw on sweats so it's not too bad. Initially, I put on my Versace-inspired vintage blouse that I found at the thrift a few months ago and was looking for my black leather skirt to pair it with when I laid my hands on this blue and silver sparkling skirt that I got for $2 at Ross my senior year of HS. I call it my magician skirt because the first time I wore it my fav English teacher said I look like a magician's assistant with it on and as corny as what he said was, the name stuck and I starting calling it the Magician's skirt. I literally haven't worn the skirt since HS but I wanted to try something different so I put it against the red and gold of my blouse and thought..."this could work" lol. I tucked the top into my skirt and realized it was a bit loose against my waistline so I added the waist belt, threw on some tights, grabbed my grey heels, and a few accessories later...WALA!

Burr Russia!

Hey guys, remind me this summer not to complain about the heat because I'm tired of this freezing cold! Anyway here is a quick post for my outfit of the day. Everything I'm wearing is pretty much from H&M except for my jacket which is from my babyphat days but it's real leather and I love the Michael Jackson feel of it so I refuse to give up wearing it regardless of the label. lol And sorry for the quality of the photos I took them from my iPhone since I didn't have the Nikon at hand.

XoXo.

SEI

The other day I went out to dinner with a friend at this gorgeous asian restaurant called SEI in DC. The food was a hit & miss for me. I loved the sushi, hated my lamb, and the burger was delicious. If you're into trying new things I would definitely recommend going there because they have such a vast menu and the decor is beautiful! I just love going to restaurants that have dimmed lights and a cozy atmosphere. I also thought that it was really cool how although the resto was asian they had all types of food and their recipes seem quite unique, even their soda is homemade!  I know I said I didn't love all the food but for people who have diverse taste buds this would be great. The thing about me is, I act all high class, like I hate TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesday,s and all those other chain restaurants but I can't eat weird foods. I prefer a burger and fries from Burger King over roasted duck and puree anyday.lol Anyway doe here are a few instagram photos of the food.

Black Lace

I love this gorgeous black-lace dress I got from Zara a couple months ago. I wore it out for the first time to my cousin Star's birthday dinner. We went to this Mangolian grill and yuck, the food was absolutely terrible! But that's a rant for another day, I just want to show y'all what I wore :)

All I'm in is Skinnnnnnn!

Nueva York!

Here are some photos from a trip I took to New York back in December with my cousin Marietou who was in town for the first time from Canada! I got so use to her being here, I miss her so much...it was like finally having a big sister at home with me.

Two-Oh!

So last week I turned the big 2-0...twenty! Although I'm super sad about not being a teenager anymore I feel blessed to have gone through another amazing year of life. 2011 was really good to me :) And honestly, I feel that I've accomplished a lot for someone at my age and I can't wait to see what more life has to offer me! A big thank you to all my fans, friends, and fam for the birthday love and to everyone that came out to celebrate with me. I had a great dinner at Benihanas, Georgetown Cupiecakes, than we all went to Pashions where they made me feel super special. Shoutout to Pashion Lounge in Wheaton for taking care of me and my friends!
