Sneak Peak.

I did a photo shoot the other day for my girl Bee's online magazine and I can't reveal any details or any photos yet but here is a sneak peek from behind the scenes with my Nikon. I really am not suppose to share any of these photos but I figured these were not revealing anything, I will have the edited and more behind the scenes photos of me actually modeling coming soon.

The Business.

When I picked out my trousers and button up to wear I really didn't think the outfit was anything special but I got compliments all day, especially from guys which got me thinking how girls assume that they have to wear short skirts and low-cut tops for guys to notice them but I was here dressed like a business woman and they were all saying they liked it so you see there is nothing wrong with dressing up like this.

P.S. I hate all these photos of myself, the wind had my hair looking quite different from how I left the house, curse you evil wind and ur hair destroying powers! lol

Bowling For Education

One of the organizations I work with as Miss Guinea, PromoGuinee hosted a charity bowling event last Saturday to help sponser students in Guinea. I had the honor to be a guest at the event, and although I suck at bowling it was a lot of fun and it was for a good cause:)

Wall Collage Project

So you know how every girl has that magazine collage in their room? Well I don't. And I'm not saying I'm doing this to copy but I always wanted one I was just too lazy to start, besides my room has been feeling pretty plain since I moved back from Georgia so yeah I started my magazine wall collage. I want it to kinda have a color scheme so I'm gonna place colorful pictures around the edges and black and white photos down the center. I'll let ya'll know when I'm finished, it might take me months though. I'm one of those people that gets so hyped up over an idea then loses motivation after a while, usually within a day or two.lol

Vintage Jumper.

Today was the most beautiful day of the year thus far, it was literally like 80 degrees outside and it's still winter. I could not miss out on such great weather so I went out to a early dinner with my bestfriend, Junebug. She doesn't mind that I call her that. lol Anyway doe, I threw on this double print vintage jumper I snagged at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago. The jumper isn't actually sleeveless but I tucked and pinned the sleeves inside because I didn't really like the way it looked as a short sleeve, I just bought it because I liked the print. I'm rapping but we had a great dinner at Nando's and we took all these great pictures just for me to realize that my camera was fooling me and in all actuality it didn't save any of the photos because my memory card was inside my laptop at home. I just got myself upset again writing this. lol I really couldn't pass up blogging this outfit, and I swear whenever I wear the most creative things is when I forget my camera at home or I bring it with me & it will be dead or something like that. I ended up going to my cousin's house and got her to take some pictures of me to share with ya'll. Enjoy!

Here's a little something for the boys, this summer you can try these. Every other sneaker head will be wearing foams so do something different. I thought these winged Adidas sneakers by Jeremy Scott were pretty fly, no pun intended.

Aly Von Ndiaye.

A while ago I wrote about this dope clothing line I had come across called Jeantrix Co. Well today I get on facebook and my homie Aly has a new profile pic of him walking in one of their shows, I thought that was mad tiiiight.  Aly is an upcoming model from the DMV who was featured in many of the shows at this years' DC fashion week. I wasn't in any of the shows but I attended a few of the networking events and such. 

Anyways....great job Aly! :)

Nutella Cupcakes

I think Nutella is God's gift to earth so when I came across a photo of nutella cupcakes on tumblr I just had to try it. We always have nutella at my house so I bought some cake mix, cupcake platters, and voila!

They were so yummmy, I'm gonna make more soon.

Wore my favorite black trench coat for a late lunch with Patrick, he got lost for like 3 hours coming to my house...swear. I do live in the boonies but his driving is pretty sketch, like he may be the worst driver I have ever encountered and he gets mad whenever I say this but I'm always scared for my life in the car with him. Anyways he got me home safely and even took these pics for me ^__^

I experimented with this nude/pinkish lipstick, since I have big lips I'm very cautious about not using any wild colors or making my lips look any larger than they are but this is okay to me...what ya'll think?

Capri pants, I have been waiting for these to come back forever now. I always loved capri's because they are perfect for those warm/chilli days but they were so played out I wouldn't have dared to wear them. lol

International Women's Day x Miss Guinea NA Fundraiser

I would like to dedicate this post to everyone that came out and supported my charity dinner last Sunday in celebration of International Women's Day, it was a huge success!! 

The proceeds went to the White Ribbon Alliance and DVWMT (Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags.)

 As you all know my platform for my pageant is domestic violence so I'm really glad that I can say I've done my part to help the cause. I would like to give a big Thank You to the whole Miss Guinea NA team....Fatima,  Santou, Hawa...you guys are the best!

We started out with a conference of guest speakers, had these young ladies perform their amazing monologues, and had a wonderful "Dreams For My Daughter" themed dinner that was delicious. 

Thanks again to everyone that was there and I hope I see you all this summer to support me as I compete for my next crown at the Miss Africa 2011 pageant.

Miss Fineeeeeee.

Growing up I loved watching the Nanny because of all the cute outfits Miss Fine would wear, till this day I appreciate her sense of style on the show. I think her ensembles were to die for. Yestererday I decided to do my own interpertation of her infamous miniskirts and blazer combo. Hope I did her look some justice.lol
