iWearAfrican

I've always said when I become rich I'm gonna wear all african clothes, everyday (african clothes can be expensive especially since the kind I like are custom made in Africa) But I really love the intricate fabrics and patterns that my people use to create such beautiful clothing. the best thing about african clothes is that the fabric and coloring are usually all handmade. African clothes are so versatile, there are african couture gowns that serve as amazing evening wear. There is the traditional clothing that can consist of pants, dresses, and skirts and I promise they are things you can wear on a daily babis and people will look at you like "that's dope". Yes I say "DOPE" allll the time actually. My friends always tease me for it cause I speak kinda proper so it's weird hearing me say things like 'dope' or 'yo'. lol
Anyway doe, while in Georgia for Thanksgiving break, my cousin had a welcome party for her new babygirl. Whenever we have any type of  family gatherings we all wear our african clothes and I feel like it doesn't get enough recognition so I thought I'd get ya'll hip.

My neice is a little fly one. Peep the Burberry trench coat and Michael Kors flats she's wearing!

Shoutouts to my friend Mikael for stopping by to see me before going back to Florida!

Went to my couysin's sweet 16 afterwards. It was a black and white theme. Happy Birthday Ayana, Love you!

Here are a few photos of some Africa clothing via the "I Wear African Campaign"

you can't tell me that you wouldn't wear this. it's too dope.
